You can even go to a book store and pick up a guide on local trails. One that was written by a local author is Rocky Mountain National Park: The Complete Hiking Guide by Lisa Foster.

Fishing: You can either bring your own equipment or rent it. There are also guides throughout town to take you to their favorite spots.

Scenic drives: What’s there to say, you’re in Colorado! Even if it hasn’t been designated as a scenic byway, you probably won’t be disappointed. Painting: Many artists visit the Estes Park region to be inspired for pieces of their work. The Plein Air Rockies is held from August 14-27, 2010.
