Estes Park is a pedestrian-friendly community. There are many paths in and around town perfect for a morning jog or evening walk. Roadways are often used as well.
Downtown River walk
This can be accessed from any point of the downtown area and sits between the main street and the river. It even joins the Lake Estes Trail near the Visitor Center.
The closest Trail for hiking, or running, is located about 1 mile from the entrance to Black Canyon Inn. The Gem Lake Trail is a moderate 3.5 mile round trip trail, offering beautiful views of the Estes Valley and reaches a small peaceful lake.
